Luminary · last updated 21 August 2026
Luminary is an investment radar. It shows trades disclosed in public regulatory filings. It is not a broker: it executes no trades, holds no money and gives no personalised advice.
The app may ask for coarse location. It is used on the device only, to work out your sunrise and sunset so the colours follow the time of day. It is never sent to us and never leaves your phone. Declining changes nothing except that the app falls back to clock hours.
Your learning progress, your theme and notification preferences, and — while signed out — your watchlist and followed investors are stored only on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes them.
Only to run the service: to keep you signed in, to sync your follows and watchlist between devices, and to send the alerts you asked for. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
That is the complete list. Nobody else.
Until you delete your account. Then it goes, immediately and permanently — see deleting your account.
Everything travels over HTTPS. Filings shown in the app are public records published by regulators; nothing you do in Luminary is visible to other users.
Luminary is not intended for anyone under 18.
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Deleting your account does the last of those immediately. For anything else, write to [email protected].
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
